Activating your Device
Each ShieldGPS GPS tracking device requires an active subscription before it is able to operate. If you haven’t already done so visit the following URL in your web browser: https://shieldgps.co/activate
From here you will be prompted to enter your device's unique IMEI number to begin the activation process. This number is 15 digits long and is typically printed on the device itself.
Once you enter the correct IMEI number you will be asked to create a new account (or authenticate an existing account). Following that you will be asked to pick your preferred plan and subscription price for your device (different plans support different capabilities) and finally you’ll be asked to enter payment details.
Once you complete this final step your account will be created and your device will be activated on our network. The email address and password you enter during activation can now be used to login to the ShieldGPS tracking web dashboard and smartphone app on Android or iOS (see later).
Please note that following activation it can often take a few hours before your new device is able to upload it’s location to our platform. Please be patient. If your device location is not displayed after 3 or more hours reach out to us at support@shieldgps.co and we’ll be happy to assist.
